Dave Stockton is considered one of the legends
of golf. He was the captain of the victorious U.S. Ryder Cup
team at Kiawah Island, South Carolina in 1991. Additionally,
he was a member of 2 other Ryder Cup teams and 2 World Cup
teams. Currently he is over the 10 million dollar mark in
career earnings. A Professional since 1964 and known since
the 1970's as the "king of corporate outings" due
to 90 corporate and motivational days per year, his career
accomplishments include 5 major championships (2 PGA Championships,
1996 Senior Open & 2 Senior Player Championships), 11
tournament victories on the PGA Tour and 14 wins on the Senior
PGA Tour.
Dave was born and raised in the San Bernardino
area and is a graduate of Pacific High School. He later graduated
from U.S.C. with a business degree. He then met and married
Redlands native and former Orange Show beauty queen, Catherine
Hales. Both of their sons, Dave Jr. and Ron, are professional
golfers as well. Dave lends his name and golfing expertise
at many local charity golf events including: The A. Gary Anderson
Foundation, Cal State San Bernardino Athletics, University
of Redlands Athletics, and The Unforgettables Foundation.
In his spare time, Dave enjoys working in his yard, hunting
and fishing, and relaxing with his family at his bison ranch
in Northern California.
